Farming materials at the “Bug Killer” location is fairly easy. Just drive around in your SRV and shoot the cargo crates for raw materials and scan the data link beacons for encoded materials. After you have all 3 crates and 3 data link beacons, just restart the game and log back in and start from the beginning. And just as an information, you will meet Cory, so greet him from us!
Farming materials in the HIP 36601 system is great for raw materials. You find four planets in this system for different grade 5 raw materials. You need to search the planet for the crystal forests or fly to the coordinates provided above.

Dav’s Hope farming is the best way to farm manufactured materials we currently know about. Here you can just drive a little race track around the settlement and start / finish at the data link beacon to get a few encoded materials along the way.
Jameson’s Crashsite is currently the best spot for encoded material farming we know about. Just put your SRV in the middle between the four data link beacons to scan all four of them without moving.
